Steller
While on the Passing Cloud it was common to see Steller Sea Lions but only if we ventured to the islands at the edge of Hecate Strait where they have their haulouts and rookeries.
These three were curious about our intentions and came to the edge of the kelp to check us out.
Seen at the Garcin Rocks rookery/haulout east of Benjamin Point near the south end of Moresby Island.

Very good question. Perhaps not very much – I think they were adolescents, and you know how that can roll in the thinking department.

Yes, for sure they were looking at you just as keenly as you were observing them!
