This was taken one of those chilly late winter days when no one lingers too long on park benches.
Not even gulls.
A long(ish) exposure to add to my storm drain series, in which the drain structure looks longer than usual.
This is from the same day as my recent posts Storm Drain IV and Stormy Drain.
It was such a bright day that my ND filter did not give me the length of exposure I was hoping for, but the water and clouds have a nice feel.
This is another seasonal view from my computer requiring a sunny day and being around at the right time of year to take the call.
Another was shown in my post In Passing some time ago. However, this one is a scene that will pass forever and probably quite soon. Phones with cords are very much on their way out.
We keep this relic so that we have at least one that works during a power outage.
Another from the beach below Beacon Hill Park. Other shots from this location, and the stair case that gets you down, can be found here.
Three more photos from my walk around Thetis Lake a couple of months ago with my daughter and granddaughter. The light was terrific, and these shots are all about that light in the forest.
This is a small lookout at the east end of Beacon Hill Park – at the top of the slope shown in this post. It is set out from the sidewalk, which has the same railing all along the steeper slopes. I think the lookout part is an afterthought – the manhole cover speaks to a far more down-to-earth function than gazing outwards.
One of the ways up from the beach in Beacon Hill Park.
