Water Front Out Back
In this case out back is actually in front to my world view.
This area is between the buildings and the Victoria Harbour.
A waste of ocean frontage that is not likely to continue much longer now that goods rarely travel by water.
About to Pave
These new ducts are a bit of a magnet for my camera since I discovered them a few weeks ago.
Once they finish paving the area in front it might be hard to get a shot without cars.
And it seems only a matter of time before the parking lot is turned into (more…)
Window Display
This is one hell of a brightly coloured umbrella, rather nicely done.
That doesn’t mean it actually works in a windy rainstorm.
But it would be colourful even when reduced to torn shreds sticking from a garbage can on the street, or tangled high overhead among branches.
Testing an Olympus Stylus Zoom 140 Deluxe
I bought the Olympus Stylus Zoom 140 Deluxe in a thrift store early last year for less than $5. One of the attractions was that it still had film in it, the other is that it is an Olympus Stylus and is not the longest zoom they made which promised somewhat better optics than a 170mm zoom which I had poor experiences with.

Splits Indoors
This building is shaped like a Kleenex box, but the three entrances, which are all like this one, are kind of nice.
Looks like you run straight in through this door at the risk of concussion.
Grindstone Mural
This mural is on the Grindstone Cafe on Store Street at the edge of Victoria’s Chinatown.
The artist is Mario Labonte. The mural wraps around the corner of the building on the right.
