Bridge Barge II

Another image from last Friday associated with the removal of the Johnson Street Rail Bridge. This is the second in a series of the barge used to dismantle the bridge. This coil of rope caught my eye and I am sure you will see more of it in the next few days.

I don’t usually go for such a high contrast treatment, but think it works fairly well here, and the contrast between the greys of the bridge deck and the black and white of everything else is interesting and effective too.

You can find my other posts about this bridge here.

    • Hi – thanks! This was in many ways its life at the time I was there. Quiet and wet on this side of the bridge. Hot sparks and earnest action on the other side. With the barge sharing both states at once.
