Frost Brocade

Windshield frost

It has been a while since I had some frost on these pages.

This is the windscreen of my car yesterday morning.

    • Thank you Karen. There is a sand-like texture to the areas not like feathers. And since I was on my way to the beach, this just portended well for that journey (which resulted in a lot of highly satisfactory photographs).

    • Hi Meanderer – it is pale bluish and quite faint in colour, it needed a good boost in contrast to really bring out the pattern, and that of course affected the colour, so I converted it. I think it is a lot better in black and white.

Sounds like you need a thesaurus – there are some good ones on line you know ;).
I don’t suppose you see too much frost down your way.

  1. As much as I like the photographic opportunities that frost offers, my only demand when we moved to NY was to have a garage attached to the house. And we actually keep the cars in it. I do like it when others take advantage of it, though.

    • Hi Ken. If we had a garage, it would be a workshop and no cars allowed. Fortunately we don’t get a lot of frost or freezing weather. This kind of patterned frost is even less frequent – usually it is a uniform white granular surface which is less interesting for photography.
