Deer Fence VI

The penultimate deer mesh post. This group is all about the light in patches of dew on the nasturtium leaves. A top-down view of a similar setting was in yesterday’s post. All of these shots are very similar, and yet they each have their own interesting differences in the details. I could not choose between them (though I think I like the first one the best, at the time of writing), so I just threw a bunch in. Hope you don’t mind! (There are quite a few others so, really, I am showing some restraint!)

These are all really neat! I like the fact that the reflections and highlights hide what the actual subject is!

Thanks David. It was a lot of fun to find different ways of depicting the fencing material.

Sparkles! Lovely. I, too, like the first one a great deal.

This series is a good example of why we should always have a camera with us, isn’t it?
Also – that first shot looks like a handful of diamonds. Or, to be more precise since I’ve not actually ever seen a handful of diamonds, what I imagine a handful of diamonds to look like.

Thanks Melinda. I agree about the camera A camera with a macro capability would be a good idea. The new one I am contemplating for my carry around much of the time camera does not have a macro lens, though that is only because I chose that configuration. Maybe I should rethink that. And, I will be able to adapt my FD lenses to it, one of which is a macro, so I should be OK if I care to carry those with me.

The first is my favorite, too, but don’t ask me why. The fence turned out to be a photographic gold mine for you.

Hi Ken. You are right, so many things came together just right. Rarely have I been as satisfied with 30 minute session with the camera.
