Toba Trees III

IMG_6198

A week or so ago I posted a colour shot of the Toba River and adjacent trees. I decided in that instance that black and white version worked better.

This time, I prefer the colour version. The colour of the river is just so good.

      • Sorry. I sometimes get distracted. I prefer the B&W version. I think that the added texture in the top half is very appealing to the overall look.

      • That’s OK Ken, I figured either it was a joke I was missing, or you just got distracted. So I am thinking you might agree with Melinda about getting that texture into the colour version as an improvement.

  1. Ehpem! You are acting as your OWN research department, to answer your own question? That just doesn’t seem right, somehow.

I agree with Karen – that blue water is quite nice. But I also like the ripples in the b&w version. Now, if you could combine those two things….

    • Hi Karen – Polaraids eh? That is not something I would have thought of. Maybe a colour that goes by when the image is developing? Or the colour of some of the camera bodies from the earlier 60s? I am not sure they came in anything other brown and black, but might have.

      • I did a bit of a search, which I suppose I should have done before replying. There are some blue bodied polaroid cameras out there, though they seem more recent. And some of them might be a similar colour to this. Perhaps that is the connection? Or is it in the image? I see a blue cast on quite a few polaroid shots that seems to originate with Polaroid Blue film. Anyway, interesting comment that got me looking around, so thanks a lot Karen!
