Thetis Lake IV
My walk around Thetis Lake last week with my daughter and granddaughter was very pleasant. I think I took more pictures of her than of the scenery, and so today that is what you get. Doting grandfather photography. She’s pretty cute, eh?

Sometimes scenery is all important and sometimes absolutely not. Effective way you have here of using it as a background as you keep it out of the way. Nice portrait work.

Thank you Joseph. As it happens, most of my shots of them at a distance amongst the trees did not work out well, but these shallow focus shots with the forest more like a texture are quite pleasing. The forest is there for sure, but not distracting. Which is quite something since the forest was really (and rightly) very distracting when we were in it.

Absolutely cute! 🙂
Sorry I haven’t been by for a while. I lost a lot of my subscriptions somehow during my move (in real life and to the new blog). Little by little, I’m getting caught up and finding people again.

Hi Robin – very nice to see you around again. I too have been on a reduced diet of other blogs, though in my case it is due to lack of time. But, I must stop by your (blog) place again as it is always a good visit!

These are all great photos of Bran as well as of Frida, but my absolute favourite of Frida is the second one down!

Hi Gill – nice to hear from you! I really like that one too – it is the picture I have used to represent this blog post when linked, and so on. Very adorable. And there is that lovely hat that Bran knit to go so well with her cute face 🙂

A doting grandfather is a good thing! I love all of these shots, and would be hard-pressed to choose a favourite. She is lovely.

Hi Vicki! I think it is a good thing 🙂 I like the shots too. I really like the shot of her feeding her mother a rice cracker, and the second and last ones. But I find it hard to choose too.

It’s important to take pictures of your loved ones! Very cute little girl and I’m sure you’ll all treasure those pictures when she is older 🙂

Hi Louise – welcome to my blog! Thanks for the comment – I think that is very true. Since my granddaughter was born my daughter has been interested in seeing her own baby pictures and we have all had a lot of fun looking at them, and reminiscing about when she was born and we lived in the UK.
I don’t think I have ever had two new commenters on a single post before, which just goes to show the power of a cute baby!

Indeed she is Rob. She spent quite a bit of time staring at my moving feet while I walked beside her. Probably the red laces were interesting.

The last one would be on my wall (well, that’s if I were you).
Maybe I would crop it a bit on the right side.

Hi Spotmatix – welcome to burntembers! Thanks for you comment. I agree that side of the photo might need to lose a bit. I don’t remember if I cropped any of these shots but probably did a bit. That is a very common pose right now – peering over the edge of the carrier watching the world go by.
