Rail with “Dog”

IMG_1462-2

This dog sidled into my photograph of  railing and shadows at Gonzales Hill Observatory. I have shown other photos from this series, and there has been mixed reaction to whether the colour or black and white works best. In this photo, I prefer the monochrome version.

Does anyone else wonder how these little things can rightly be called dogs?

  1. This is probably the same dog as in Observed Leap but better placed than before, where the leaping figures drew the eye away from the bold shapes made by the railings. Here, the dog enhances the railings design, especially in the coloured version.
