Tofino Heritage
While in Tofino a few weeks ago for work I managed a short walk around one part of town. The place has changed a lot since I worked there for an extended period in 1982, but there are still a few of the nice old houses to be seen, mostly well cared for. This is a selection of pictures from that walk.

Hi Andy. It is indeed. By and large things are much better looked after than when this was a fishing village. There has been a huge influx of high-end resort dollars and tourism money in the past 10 to 20 years and it is quite a different place.

Great photos. Nice to see those old Tofino houses, which remind me of my first visit there (as a hitchhiker) in 1972. Your photos have a real 1912 feel to them.

Hi Richard. You have to look pretty hard these days to find the nice old houses which were very common not so long ago.
