Red Tree
On my previous field trip I visited my granddaughter and her parents who now live not far from where I was working.
It’s a short ferry ride and 35 minute drive.
I got back yesterday and tomorrow I head off for another 2 weeks back to Gwaii Haanas in Haida Gwaii.
That trip will be completely off grid for most of those two weeks.
In Courtenay, we were waiting at the Red Tree coffee shop for my daughter to get off work, and for me to take a work phone call.
Red Tree is a seriously hipster place replete with beards and mason jars.
But the coffee, tea and crepes were very good.

Hi Sherry! Welcome to my blog and thanks for the follow. I’m glad you like what you have seen so far. Precious few Hittys on these pages but often there is some context for what they are getting up to on their own blog. Especially Tansy who is with me in the airport as I write this on our way to the next adventure.
