looks like that observatory has a great view of the surrounding area as well as the heavens! nice composition.

Hi Sherry. We can see our whole neighbourhood from up there, including our house from the right angle, not to mention much of Victoria.

Nice image!. I love that sky. Did you do any stargazing in the observatory? It looks like that evening was perfect for looking at the heavens.

Hi. The observatory long ago was retired to a more simple life. I am not sure it ever had a telescope in it-it may only have been for weather. Now one thing it does is observe some very obscure aspects of the atmosphere. It is a lovely spot a short walk from my house and always a treat to go there.
