A couple of months ago I was cooling my heels in Esquimalt waiting to continue on a road trip up island.
I had a camera with good film and good light, so I was set.

I love the photo except for one thing . . . that stupid yellow pole that isn’t straight!

Thought I should add these . . . 😃😃😃

Hi Kate. I like that it is isn’t straight – shows it is doing its job. But, is the job to protect whoever it is that has a smoke in those chairs, butting them out in an MJB coffee can. Or is it to avoid a heavy load on the trap doors in the pavement. I will probably never know. But it would be interesting to see the bumper of the vehicle that managed to tilt the bollard that much.

That bumper shouldn’t be too hard to recognise! 😊

Around back! Yes, that’s where the good shots can be found.

That is totally true, a lesson I learned from you! So thanks!

A fine legacy to be proud of. I can (almost) see the epitaph on your headstone now – “Look Around Back”.

…and, then, back behind the headstone are two broken chairs, a tangle of electrical wire, and a misspelled sign.

That would be perfect!
