Hecate Horizon
One of the best things about boating in Gwaii Haanas is the huge sky and horizons that can be softened to invisibility by fog, or sharpened to a solid by reflected sun.
Seen while cruising on the Passing Cloud.

Like seeing infinity….

It’s like being part of infinity when out there. Time stretches and slows and existence changes and distorts into something different.

There’s something special about the simplicity of images of sea and sky – no two days are ever quite the same, and so often they feel mesmerising, just like this one does.

Thank you Andy – even the simplest view, like this one, always has something compelling that draws the eye, and the lens. It is wonderful to sail along with this view a constant backdrop, always changing. I take a lot of pictures of the horizon.
