New Year’s Day Headache
I took this picture on New Year’s day because of the can in the bottom.
The can held “hard iced tea” – a guaranteed hangover drink, especially in the quantities typically consumed New Year’s Eve.
I was out shooting with Earle whose work you can find on twitter as @Takgyver01 and also here.
He had a Spotmatic and various lenses, including my Takumar 17/4 fisheye.
I had my Mamiya M645 Super with a wide-ish 55/2.8 lens and shot a roll of Lomography Color 800, and another of Kodak Portra 400.
I also had an Olympus XA in my pocket loaded with JCH Street Pan 400, but that roll is not yet finished.
The late afternoon light combined with a touch of under exposure saturated the yellows quite nicely.
.
Mamiya M645 Super, Mamiya-Sekor 55/2.8 N lens, Kodak Portra 400, developed and processed commercially.
I would have completely missed the can if you hadn’t mentioned it.

Well, it was what caught my eye as I walked by, but then when I turned to take the picture, the rest of the scene kind of took over! I like that it is just there, to be noticed if it is seen. You might not be able to tell, but it is a brand call “Hey, Y’all” which is kind of appropriate for a camouflaged corner trying to attract some attention.
