Another shot of View Towers, which has to be one of the most challenging buildings to photograph in Victoria. It is such a monolithic slab.
I spent quite of lot of time around the main entrance yesterday, but that film is still in a camera.
My granddaughter is learning to speak, which is a joy for her and all of us.
In this shot she had just fallen down, and was telling me, with a bit of concern, that she needed her hands wiped.
I asked if I could take a picture, which she was happy about, and then I wiped them, though not clean as I had not the means.
More yellow boots in this shot, but no dogs.
I visited my daughter and granddaughter in a park yesterday. My granddaughter is learning to name colours, and yellow is one she knows best.
As we were saying out goodbyes to head off in separate directions this small mutt passed by, trailing far behind its humans.
I prefer the cropped version as the dog detail is more clear, but there are nice things about the uncropped one below, the yellow leaf for instance.
A while back I had another shot of this mural in Triplet, or actually a shot of the mural lights and their shadows.
I really like that other shot for the bands of colours, but I like this one too. It has its own bands, and shadows too.
And the colours of slide film.
This is one of the most utilitarian structures imaginable.
No unnecessary roof, plain-spoken signs, concrete block construction, simple application of yellow.
I had intended to include these shots in a post from a few weeks ago call Square Tour.
That was post held a collection of shots from Market Square made with Olympus XA2 cameras I was testing.
Above is a side gate detail, below is the main gate. I think there are 5 street or parking lot level entrances that are gated.
In addition there are three or four entrances through doorways that mostly open onto stairways to other levels.
I went to Vancouver in September on one of those extended summer days that linger warmly in the memory part way into winter.
Since the memory is fading now, it is time to get out another one of these photos.
There can be quite a rush to get to the best spots for lounging during the ferry ride.
These guys must have hurried up from the car deck, and probably were in one of the first vehicles that got on.
I am sure they are together. Not only from their selfish occupation of several spots each, but from their shoes.
See my About page for details.
