Which door would you choose, if you had a choice?
I am a sucker for tradition, so it would be the wooden one(s) But I have no idea where either door leads.
Well a small idea – the metal door might lead into a pub/nightclub.
This is in Bastion Square,Victoria.
A food vendor in Bastion Square, Victoria. I did not stop for food here, so can’t vouch for them one way or the other.
However, in the background through the serving windows is the Rebar vegetarian restaurant which is by and large excellent.
(My only caveat is a friend was just in there, sitting at the bar where they were making smoothies and observed that the labels on the fruit and veg were going into the blender!
But really, the food is excellent. And their cookbook is very good too).
Another example of why it can be rewarding to look up narrow alleys can be a good thing, especially when you don’t have a fish-eye lens to capture the side walls straight on.
This one is between two very old buildings at the Johnson Street Bridge landing on Wharf Street.

This one is off of Bastion Square in Victoria.
I have the feeling this spot for a picnic was very carefully chosen.
This is in Mount Douglas Park when I was showing Melinda Green Harvey some of the delights of the Victoria area.
This is at the Ogden Point breakwater which has previously shown up in my blog a year or two ago, you can see earlier posts here. Recently the First Nation murals have extended to the outer walls of the breakwater, including some of the huge granite blocks – such as these octopus legs rising out of the sea.
I had the good fortune of a visit from Melinda Green Harvey a fellow blogger from afar and we spent the weekend end poking around Victoria with our spouses. It was fun, and so nice to meet in person! This was one of the shots from the weekend visit.
More of the vinyl siding on the outside of the Heriot Bay Inn (this time not rotated).
