Beach Stairs II

Glowing Kelp

Before I lift my views to the stairs themselves, I feel it necessary to give this one glimpse of the beach beneath my feet. Since the rest of this series is black and white, a little reminder mid series of the colour is not a bad thing.

This is a bonus picture for today – mostly because I like the light and emphasized colour from the yellowish light.

Decomposing kelp in the early morning light can really glow on the beach and, it can be slippery too, especially if you have a camera in front of your face with raised head. No mishaps for me on this Friday shoot, thankfully.

  1. Terrific natural light at work here, Ehpem, perfectly captured! Those things might not make for the best salad ingredients, not to mention that frequently their aroma is less than appetite generating. Not even if you cover ’em in BBQ sauce. *looks around* Not that I’d know myself, you understand…
