Cosmic Web IV

More cosmic webs, previously shown in Cosmic Web,  Iris Cosmos and Cosmic Web II and III.  This time I am not cropping the original photography, but I have taken liberties in the processing to black and white. “Cosmic” this time has some of the meaning from the early 70’s, somewhat equivalent to “trippy”. Some of you know what I am talking aboout.

Canon EOS 5D MkII, Canon 100mm/f2.8 macro lens, ISO640, f-7.1, 1/160th. Processed in Lightroom 4 and Topaz Adjust.

  1. Strikingly effective as abstract design -an intricate pattern of sharp elegant lines against a dappled, ominous yet shapely backdrop of sun rays

    • Hi Val. It was a pleasant discovery to find those rays in the background. In some versions, that I did not keep, they could be made into wild colours as well.

    • Thanks Ken. In the colour version the web is quite hard to see so I was looking at ways to bring it forward a bit and discovered some hidden patterns in the background too.
