I think this guy was surfing the internet. Maybe he discovered a free wireless connection

He had the air of a tourist, and sat here for a long time.

If you look closely you can see him in another picture from the same day (here) taken from nearly a block away.

I am undecided whether colour or black and white works best, but on balance I think colour – his jacket pulls your eye in better.
