Sandspit – Haida Gwaii

One of my trips this past summer was to Haida Gwaii (formerly the Queen Charlotte Islands). My trip took me to work for several weeks as an on-board expert on a cruise. The vessel was the Passing Cloud, a schooner that spends part of each year in the Gwaii Haanas national park at the south end of Haida Gwaii. To get there we landed at the Sandspit airport on the NE corner of Moresby Island and spent a night prior to boarding a float plane for the trip down to the boat. These shots were all taken in Sandspit, see this link for a map of the location.
