Garry Oak
This Garry Oak is in Beacon Hill Park.
I have tried to photograph it at other times, but never have been able to frame out parts of trees that crowd in quite close.
The 16 mm lens allowed me to get close enough to lose the neighbours.
I am out of town and probably will not be able to respond quickly to comments during that time.
Or perhaps not at all. Thanks for your patience.

I love this photo. It is often the case with distinctive trees – others crowd them and make shots hard. Wide lens was a great solution. Well done.

Thank you Lou. It was the lens that was attached, so there was some serendipity in this discovery, though in fact I had a similar experience not long before which is what made me think of it.
