Kwädąy Dän Ts’ìnchį Book Launch

I am off to the Yukon for a few days. Now you might wonder why would anyone leave the mild damp of the coast for the dark cold winter north of 60. In my case, there is a good reason – to take part in the launch of a book that I co-edited and otherwise contributed to. The book is about the Kwädąy Dän Ts’ìnchį project which concerned the recovery and study of a young indigenous man whose body and belongings were found frozen in a glacier in the Tatshenshini-Alsek Park in 1999.

If you click on the picture above it will take you to the book website where you can learn a bit more and order a copy too or find out enough to convince your library to get a copy. CAN$50 for 704 pages is an awfully good deal.

    • Thank you Lynn. I hope people are finding it a good read. The trip was great. There were record high temperatures (1904 records were broken) which caused roads and walkways to be super slippery. But many people came to the festival that the launch was part of and we spent a great deal of time talking with interested people that we met around the place, as well as making formal presentations one evening.
