This was a few moments before the shot I already posted (Dad Drain).
I think I like the other shot better as it has clear separation between the dad and kid.
But I sure do like the raised foot in this shot, and quite like the other people too, who might be relatives.

This wall had a new mural painted a few weeks ago.

This door is in my neighbourhood.
It is slightly out of focus in reality, as well as on film.
This front arrived as an affront to the light and the day.
I was picking up my car in the lower left building – it was having winter tires mounted.
Somehow I was unable to resist this view.
Of course when I was testing the Minox 35GT I had to take a picture of the storm drain
(see yesterday’s post if you missed my review).
The tide was not the best when I was there, so I only took one picture, and it was the last on the roll.
Or rather, it was about 5/6th of the last frame on the roll, as can be seen on the right side.
I have never seen a cleaner edge to a shot at one end or the other of a roll than this one.
There must be some very tight tolerances in this camera.

A few days ago I bought a Minox 35GT which was advertised locally for a reasonable price. The Minox 35 series of cameras is famous for being very small and for high quality optics producing fairly contrasty images. The internet has a lot of information about the different models as they were in production from 1974 to 2003 with a couple of million made. The most comprehensive source of information can be found at this link. Here I summarise some of that information, and compare it in some detail to three of my favourite small 35mm Olympus cameras, the XA, XA2 and mjuii. At the bottom of the post is a table comparing features between the four cameras.
