Night Quake
In my post of a couple of weeks ago called Night Trees I showed this view, static and mostly upwards at the stars.
I took a lot of half-minute exposures and after a while I got a bit bored and started pivoting the camera on one or, as in this case, two legs of the tripod.
I quite like how it came out.

love this.

Interesting (but understandable) how the amount of blur is greatest closest to the pivot point. Nice work.

Thanks Linda – interesting observation about the pivot point which I had not stopped to analyse.

An astonishing shot and very successfull in every way. I thought at first it was taken from inside a car with the wipers going, then I read what you said about how you did it, or how it happened (subtle difference).Bravo.

Hi Val. Subtle difference indeed, and in this case it was done, rather than happened. I am glad you like how it turned out and now that you mention wipers I think that must be why it feels familiar.

I like it, too.

Thanks Ken. I have been meaning to do more deliberately blurred shots, and this one is encouraging.
