Concrete Vein
To me this is a microscopic cross-section of the veins, or perhaps nerves, of a venerable building.
To you it might be the rendered and repaired vertical surface of stairs at the Gonzales Observatory.
Either way, if you like concrete, then this shot is for you.

Some say that buildings are alive and have a living soul. Maybe these cracks are the signs of a growing building like wrinkles on its skin.

That could well be. It is quite an old building for this area but I would not be surprised if it were growing still.
