Ross Bay Sunset II
As I said in Ross Bay Sunset months ago, I was wishing I had a different camera with me when I came on this sunset.
That earlier post shows ta picture I took on film with an Olympus XA2.
This is one of the camera phone shots I took at the same time.
I had adequate cameras after all.
I am in the field until mid-September, sometimes off grid but usually will be able to respond to comments and so on.
So, keep the comments coming!

This is beautiful! The boat on the horizon is a really effective anchor point (apologies for the terrible pun!).

good you got that ship on the horizon. Oh, I see youve already pointed that out!

Hi Val – that ship was so very accommodating in its timing

Lots of negative space, which I like. And like Ken says, the colors are a great combination.

Thanks John. I think the ship is an important speck in this photo, with a vast expanse surrounding.

I can’t resist the yellow/blue combination. I like the saturation, too.

Thanks Ken – it is a great combination of colours. The phone does saturate things more than I am used to, but I did not try to reduce that as I quite like it too. It is interesting to compare it with the linked film shot made on expired film – more purples and more muted, but also a nice rendering.
