Storm Break Blues
A few days ago I posted a phone shot taken at this same time as Storm Break. Today’s shots are on film; expired no-name film probably from Kodak (it is packaged in the US). I love the blue colours the film has lent to the scene.
The rest of this roll of film is featured in my week 50 post at 52 Rolls – Downtown 50 – published at the same time as this one.
.
Olympus mjuii, expired no name film (Kodak?), commercially processed, scanned with Epson V700, edited in Lightroom.
Monochromatic blue – they look a treat.

Thanks! A cold treat, but so appropriate to the subject.

Really like the blues and the mood of these photos…(Moody Blues perhaps?)….

Hi Sherry, they are moody blues in fact. Nights in Blue Satin?

Gorgeous saturated dark blues; reminds me of the old days of printing B&W photos with a blue color.

Thank you Lynn – those blues are special and something that film seems much better at than digital. I like toning b&w photos that kind of blue as well, though only do it digitally.

Hi Vanessa – thanks for dropping by and commenting. I am glad you enjoy these. And ominous is a good word as yet another storm was brewing and came through within hours of taking these photos.

Hi Mike – thanks for the comment. There is something about these brighter gaps in the dense sky that really appeal to me. It is bleak and yet uplifting.
