Gordon Cove
Dawn from the Passing Cloud while at anchor between cruises in Gordon Cove on Moresby Island, Haida Gwaii.
Has anyone else been having trouble with contrast changes when uploading images to WordPress?
I am consistently having 20-30 kb knocked off the images with some horrid results.
For instance, I could not upload this image in colour – it ruined it.
And in black and white it has removed all the subtle tones rendering it a totally different shot.

Now I come to think of it – yes……..
It has been so bad some days that I load a draft on my calibrated monitor computer & then look at WordPress on an old laptop & what I see is not what I posted.
I thought it was me and re-calibrated my monitor twice; on both occasions it came back with ‘no calibration needed’ so I just gave up.

Hi David. I have tried numerous options in my export settings from Lightroom and none of them work with jpgs. Finally I tried exporting to a png format and that works fine (I replaced the image in this post with a png file). Except it doesn’t really work fine because it makes a much larger file and I am near the end of my free capacity in WP and loathe to pay more as the site becomes much more volatile over the years.
Anyway, if you want to generate png files directly from LR, then you can use this plug in, which works fine once you figure out how to see it – http://fnordware.blogspot.ca/2012/10/magic-export-for-lightroom.html
