SGang Gwaay XX
Studies of a mortuary pole at SGang Gwaay from the last half of October 2018.
This pole is numbered as 11X on this web page where you can find a bit more information and historical photos.
There are at least three numbering schemes for the houses and/or poles at SGang Gwaay – the web page linked above is an illustration from George MacDonald’s Monumental Haida Art.
SGang Gwaay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on an island on the south-west side of Gwaii Haanas
