Is this yellow imprisoned by the grey?
Would the whole area be yellow, but for those bars?
Or is it the other way round?
Last weekend I went to a wedding on Mayne Island.
I was not the photographer so I concentrated on taking shots of guests for a while before I put my camera away.
The wedding was on the beach, and the night before there was a mock wedding, in drag.
I did not make it to that event.
But the next day at the real wedding this guy was still dressed the part.
It was a very nice wedding.
This is another view from the deck of the place I stayed on Mayne Island last weekend.
I love the eroded sandstone common in some of the Gulf Islands.
Another view from Mayne Island last weekend.
This is few hours after Mayne Morning and just one minute after yesterday’s Mayne Morning II.
Looking southeast instead of north.
Another view from Mayne Island last weekend, this is a few hours later than Mayne Morning looking north up Georgia Strait.
For this shot I set a slow shutter speed and panned the camera sideways to blur detail and emphasize the horizon line.
It served to erase a lot of white gull specks near the horizon too.
I spotted these at the wedding on Mayne Island last weekend.
If any long term viewers think this looks familiar, then maybe it’s because of this post (which has light to die for), or this one.
I went to the wedding of friends/colleagues on Mayne Island on the weekend.
I woke up at 5:30 am Sunday and saw these terrific colours, so had to get up and try to take a picture.
The brightest lights are at Roberts Bank coal and container port in Greater Vancouver
Shot through a window with the lens that was on the camera from the wedding, and no tripod to hand.
