Beside Santa Monica Pier

I think these children have picked up rubbish on the beach beside the Santa Monica pier.

Their clothing declares an affiliation with the US Navy – perhaps they are Sea Cadets.

The crosses to the left are a weekly installation sponsored by the Veterans for Peace.

Beneath Santa Monica Pier III

 

This is the view in the opposite direction from the photo of pilings with gull (link) from the photo workshop I took in Los Angeles.

I spent a lot of time trying to get this setting well animated, and never quite made it.
