Today is a continuation of my multi-year series from the Friday Harbor Labs. These barbecues caught my eye from afar – it was the shiny legs that really interested me, but when I got over to them I forgot to take pictures of the legs. I have more pictures, so today will be part of a sub-series from San Juan Island.

Ross Bay Cemetery V

IMG_8570

Another from my Ross Bay Cemetery archive – these images are from February a year ago, taken of a three year old girl’s grave.

From the style of this headstone, it is clearly a replacement for an earlier one as this girl, Elizabeth Beadle, lived from 1915 to 1918. The grave surround is heavily weathered and probably the original marker was quite plain.
