This one’s really great as well. It’s nice to break the rules and put something in the center, exactly.

Hi Lynn – everything important is centered in this shot, and yet it doesn’t really feel that way to me. I think the slightly chaotic pilings and the footprints angled together to the right somehow disrupt the symmetry. I was waiting for a person to come by in the foreground but that never happened.

No, it doesn’t feel like a stark, balanced symmetry, I thought because it’s light on one side and dark on the other, but that’s a kind of balance too. OK, enough analyzing! 😉

I like the analyzing, it helps me think about things that normally I just allow to happen without much consideration.
